In the southeastern city of Dnipro, the strikes hit a chaotic mix of businesses, residential blocks, and civilian vehicles. Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed that six people died in the city alone, with another 29 injured in the blast zone. Rescuers spent the afternoon pulling survivors from the debris as the aerial bombardment persisted.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy took to social media to signal the gravity of the situation, urging European allies to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. These strikes represent a continuation of a protracted campaign against major urban centers, underscoring the lethal persistence of the conflict as it enters its fifth year.
