YSRCP Alleges Government-Backed Violence Against Farmers

Political friction in Andhra Pradesh has reached a volatile peak as the YSRCP accuses the ruling coalition of facilitating targeted attacks against its members. Following a series of confrontations in Undavalli, party leaders claim that state authorities are turning a blind eye to intimidation tactics used against farmers opposing land acquisition policies.

NTR district President Devineni Avinash condemned the recent violence, explicitly blaming Telugu Desam Party supporters for the assault on the YSRCP Farmers' Protection Committee. Avinash characterized the police response as deliberate inaction, rejecting claims that cast the TDP as the aggrieved party in the ongoing conflict.

Beyond the immediate physical skirmishes, the YSRCP maintains that the government is orchestrating a campaign of harassment against landowners who refuse to surrender their property. These accusations center on the contentious development of the capital city, Amaravati, where the opposition party alleges widespread coercion. Despite government denials, YSRCP leadership continues to frame these disputes as a systemic "jungle raj" and insists on shielding local farmers from what they describe as state-sanctioned land plunder.
