BJP Rejects Owaisi’s Allegations Over Electoral Revision

Allegations that a BJP membership card is required for the Summary Intensive Revision process are entirely baseless, according to Telangana state president Ramchander Rao. The party leader dismissed the claims as a deliberate attempt by political rivals to mislead voters ahead of the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

Rao argued that the AIMIM, alongside the BRS and Congress, is manufacturing these concerns out of fear regarding the BJP's growing political footprint in the state. He labeled Asaduddin Owaisi’s statements as absurd, noting that the AIMIM leader is well-versed in standard electoral procedures and has even encouraged his own supporters to engage with official booth-level officers.

Owaisi maintains that current verification methods risk systemic exclusion, warning that the state's approach could eventually limit citizenship recognition to party affiliates by 2030. He challenged the reliance on specific certificates as the primary proof of nationality, arguing that such documentation should remain exclusive to those obtaining status through naturalization or registration rather than those born within the country.
