Unveiled on 10 June 2026 at Accra’s La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, the project focuses on equipping the next generation with practical expertise. The plan includes renovating 10 technical and vocational education centres to provide instruction in STEM, artificial intelligence, and creative digital skills. Beyond the classroom, the programme offers direct support to micro and small enterprises, specifically targeting growth in agribusiness sectors such as poultry, fisheries, and livestock production.
Project Coordinator Abass-Adams Nurudeen identified the lack of market access and capital as primary hurdles for local entrepreneurs. To address this, the government is integrating the programme with its broader "Big Push" and "24-Hour Economy" strategies. African Development Bank Country Manager Halimah Hashi noted that the investment seeks to convert Ghana’s growing youth population into a sustained economic advantage. Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Ampem Nyarko emphasized that the initiative prioritizes inclusive growth, particularly for communities in Northern Ghana, while fostering long-term social cohesion through financial literacy and peacebuilding efforts.
