Bank President Dr. Sidi Ould Tah and OIF Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo signed the agreement to integrate technical education with professional mentorship. The curriculum spans critical high-growth sectors, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and mobile development. Beyond classroom instruction, the initiative facilitates innovation camps and prototype development, connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with business incubators to help transform concepts into sustainable startups.
The 12-to-24-month pilot phase relies on close collaboration with national governments to refine local education systems. This strategy reflects the Bank’s broader "Four Cardinal Points" agenda, specifically the objective of turning Africa’s demographic youth bulge into a measurable economic dividend. By aligning vocational training with access to finance, the partners expect to stabilize small businesses and foster long-term structural transformation. Should the pilot yield positive outcomes, the program is slated for expansion into additional member states.
