Kayande highlighted a pattern of abuse spanning IT giants and public institutions, specifically naming TCS Nashik, Wipro Pune, and SBI Mumbai as sites of concern. According to the legislator, female staff members are frequently pressured to alter their personal habits and attire, while those who report instances of sexual harassment often face summary dismissal without due process.
One case involving a female employee at Sikasso India served as a focal point for her critique, as the woman lost her job immediately after filing a formal complaint. Beyond the private sector, Kayande drew attention to similar grievances within the Mumbai Metro. She has called upon the Chief Minister’s office to bypass bureaucratic inertia, urging direct political oversight to hold these organizations accountable and protect the rights of women in the workforce.
