Richa Goswami, president of the Congress Religion and Priests Cell, characterized the reported mismanagement as a global embarrassment for the country. She leveled accusations against the BJP government, alleging that religious institutions are being treated as revenue streams rather than places of worship. The party is pushing for the dissolution of the existing Ram Mandir Trust, advocating for the return of temple management to the Nirmohi Akhara.

In response to the mounting pressure, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma confirmed that a Special Investigation Team is already reviewing the claims. He stated that the administration is committed to accountability and promised legal consequences for any individuals found responsible for financial misconduct.
