Ifo president Clemens Fuest noted that the sub-index measuring current conditions rose to 87.0, marking a distinct improvement over the 86.1 recorded in the previous month. While the shift is modest, it points to a period of relative calm in domestic economic activity. Expectations for the coming months also saw a slight improvement, rising to 84.1 from 83.9. Businesses are pinning these cautious hopes on the possibility of a more stable global political environment, though the narrow margin of gain underscores a persistent, underlying sense of uncertainty among executives.
