Parawada circle Inspector Lenka Bhaskar Rao confirmed the fatalities shortly after the incident, as fire engines from the Pharma City station and nearby Parawada arrived to douse the fire. While the immediate threat to the facility has been neutralized, the cause of the disaster remains under investigation by local authorities.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has since intervened, demanding a full report on the circumstances surrounding the blast. He directed district officials to prioritize the medical care of any additional casualties and ordered comprehensive support for the families of the deceased. The administration is currently assessing safety protocols at the industrial park as the recovery effort continues.
