Addressing a press conference following the induction, Shinde emphasized that the move adhered to constitutional mandates and parliamentary procedures. He dismissed media speculation surrounding the operation, asserting that his habit of finishing what he starts remains a guiding principle. The new recruits were instructed to adopt the same worker-level approach that Shinde maintains, with promises that their constituency grievances will be prioritized at both the state and federal levels.
Shinde attributed the ongoing consolidation of support to a development-oriented agenda, claiming voters abandoned the UBT faction for straying from party ideology. Reflecting on the 2022 revolt, he highlighted the growth of his legislative footprint from 40 to 60 seats as evidence of public approval. While celebrations broke out among party members, the influx of these six MPs further strengthens Shinde’s position within the Maharashtra political landscape.
