Nani accused the Vijayawada Police Commissioner of negligence, questioning why the cases were suppressed for over 40 days before any FIR was registered. He stated that the lack of progress following the initial filings has fueled public suspicion regarding the department's integrity. The party maintains that only an independent agency can uncover the full extent of the involvement of senior officials who have remained insulated from the investigation thus far.
The YSRCP leader also criticized the Chief Minister’s selective response to the victims, noting that while one family received direct consolation, others impacted by alleged police excesses, including the Dalit family of Kranthi Kumar, have been ignored. Nani demanded clarity on the status of Sai Krishna, challenging the Commissioner to confirm whether the youth is alive. The party has pledged to continue its campaign until the affected families receive transparent answers and equal justice.
