Israeli warplanes and drones targeted multiple locations, including a residential building in Barish where a family of four perished. The Israeli military justified the offensive by citing over 50 projectiles fired by Hezbollah at its forces stationed in southern Lebanon overnight. A spokesperson for the Israeli military maintained that their presence in the security zone remains focused on dismantling infrastructure rather than targeting civilians.
Hezbollah, while claiming commitment to the ceasefire, warned it would retaliate against any perceived encroachment or attempts to seize territory. The group reported an overnight confrontation near Ali al-Taher hill, alleging that Israel attempted to infiltrate the area. Meanwhile, the Lebanese army confirmed the death of one of its soldiers on the Kfarrumman-Nabatieh road, explicitly accusing Israel of sabotaging regional stability efforts. With the health ministry reporting 3,912 deaths in Lebanon since March and Israel counting 36 fatalities, the volatility of the agreement remains high as the U.S.-backed peace framework faces its first major test.
