Addressing reporters in Shimla, Sukhu directed his criticism at the Bharatiya Janata Party, citing past scandals during the Jai Ram Thakur administration. He pointed to the collapse of the Hamirpur Staff Selection Commission and compromised police recruitment tests as evidence of systemic failures that his government was forced to dismantle. To support current candidates, the state has authorized free transport for NEET examinees on Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses.

Beyond the examination crisis, the Chief Minister pivoted to the state's long-standing financial grievances regarding the Bhakra Beas Management Board. Citing a Supreme Court ruling, Sukhu reaffirmed Himachal Pradesh’s entitlement to a 7.19 percent share of the board's resources. While negotiations with Punjab and Rajasthan are active, he urged the Haryana government to formalize its support via court affidavits. Regarding the impending monsoon, Sukhu confirmed that administrative authorities are on high alert, prioritizing the protection of life and infrastructure to minimize potential disaster impacts.
