The agreement focuses on bolstering anti-ballistic capabilities while initiating the joint production of the TerMIT, an unmanned ground vehicle designed to transport up to 300 kilograms of supplies to frontline positions. While assembly will take place in Germany, the project involves key industry players, including Ukraine’s largest missile and drone manufacturer, Fire Point.
German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed that multiple domestic firms have expressed interest in the initiative. Beyond this specific project, Zelenskiy pressed the Ukraine Defence Contact Group for increased long-range artillery and expanded financial instruments to sustain the Ukrainian army’s operational capacity. He emphasized that building a robust anti-ballistic shield is a collective necessity for European security rather than a purely national objective.
