Nathwani secured 28 valid votes out of 30 cast, with two ballots disqualified for technical reasons. In his post-election remarks, he expressed gratitude toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the state’s BJP cadre for their coordination throughout the process. He pledged to continue his legislative focus on Jharkhand’s interests.
State BJP President Aditya Sahu framed the outcome as a broader political repudiation of Congress, asserting that voters have increasingly embraced the party’s ideology. BJP MLA Neera Yadav echoed this sentiment, praising the cooperation of the assembly members involved in the voting process.
The victory drew sharp criticism from the opposition. Congress leader Rajesh Thakur labeled the event a tragic setback for democratic norms, alleging that the election process was compromised by financial influence. Thakur claimed that such practices are becoming a recurring issue in national politics and indicated that his party intends to investigate the circumstances surrounding the vote.
