Yadav characterized the SBSP chief’s rhetoric as a paid performance, suggesting that Rajbhar’s public statements are incentivized to generate media attention. He maintained that no Samajwadi Party members are preparing to defect, asserting that the party remains united under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav. According to Shivpal, Rajbhar’s commentary carries no weight in Uttar Pradesh politics.
This rebuttal follows Rajbhar’s assertion that the Samajwadi Party is fracturing under the pressure of ongoing CBI investigations. Rajbhar alleged that the party’s recent correspondence with Union Home Minister Amit Shah is a defensive maneuver to shield leadership from probes involving the Gomti River Front case and other legal disputes. The minister further claimed that a mass exodus of SP lawmakers is imminent, suggesting that aside from the inner circle of the Yadav family, the party’s ranks are ready to abandon their current leadership.
