Ukrainian forces target shadow fleet tanker and Crimean supply lines

Ukrainian military strikes crippled a tanker identified as part of Russia’s shadow fleet in the Black Sea on Wednesday, while simultaneously hitting critical infrastructure nodes. The General Staff confirmed the operation, marking a tactical escalation against Moscow's maritime logistics and the land bridges connecting the occupied Kherson region to Crimea.

The FINA A tanker sustained a direct hit during the operation, with Ukrainian command currently evaluating the operational impact of the strike. This vessel, long suspected of transporting sanctioned Russian oil, represents a strategic target in Kyiv’s campaign to disrupt Moscow's covert supply chains.

Beyond the maritime theater, Ukrainian forces launched coordinated strikes against land-based supply routes. Operations targeted a road bridge spanning the North Crimean Canal near the settlement of Stavky, alongside a secondary road bridge near Voinka in the occupied Kherson region. By severing these transit points, the military aims to complicate the movement of troops and equipment between the Crimean Peninsula and the front lines.
