Udhayanidhi Stalin labels TVK a 'Sofa Model' government

Speaking at a wedding ceremony on Wednesday, he argued that such transactional politics have left voters disillusioned with their electoral choices.

Udhayanidhi Stalin claimed that the current political climate in Tamil Nadu is defined by opportunistic defections. He alleged that the TVK administration prioritizes the acquisition of political leaders over substantive governance. According to the DMK Youth Wing Secretary, public regret regarding the recent election results is mounting, and he predicted the incumbent government would soon face a loss of mandate.

During the same event, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin pivoted to the history of the Dravidian movement, honoring veteran leader Arcot N. Veerasamy. The Chief Minister described Veerasamy as the loyal shadow of the late M. Karunanidhi, highlighting his decades of unwavering commitment to a single ideology. Udhayanidhi Stalin contrasted Veerasamy’s steadfastness with the current trend of shifting loyalties, positioning the veteran as a moral guide for the younger generation. The ceremony concluded with expressions of confidence that the DMK remains poised to regain power under M.K. Stalin's leadership.
