Bhagwant Mann Denounces Viral Video as Political Smear Campaign

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has dismissed a viral video purportedly showing him, branding the footage a calculated effort to damage his reputation. Mann rejected the clip’s authenticity, arguing the individual depicted lacks his physical stature and accusing political opponents of weaponizing religious institutions to orchestrate the controversy.

Bhagwant Mann Denounces Viral Video as Political Smear Campaign

The Chief Minister expressed deep frustration regarding an edict issued by the Akal Takht’s Jathedar, which cited the video as genuine and called on the Sikh community to distance themselves from him. Mann claimed that high-ranking religious officials are acting under intense political pressure, effectively exploiting their positions to disseminate misinformation.

Asserting his continued reverence for the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Mann challenged his detractors to subject the footage to forensic examination to prove his innocence. He maintained that the campaign is a transparent attempt to smear his image through fabrication rather than legitimate criticism, framing the confrontation as a misuse of religious authority for partisan gain.
