Despite the instability, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi have publicly acknowledged the deal as a necessary mechanism for long-term stabilization, even as the immediate prospects for a total cessation of hostilities appear increasingly bleak.
