Karnataka Congress Launches Campaign to Monitor Voter Roll Revisions

Accusing the BJP of manipulating the electoral process, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee has mobilized a statewide awareness campaign to prevent the removal of legitimate voters. The party is deploying senior observers to oversee the Election Commission’s summary revision, fearing political interference in the upcoming verification process.

The campaign, titled 'Congress Nade Matadarara Kadege,' aims to safeguard electoral integrity through a series of public meetings known as 'SIR Jagrutha Samaveshas.' Under the direction of AICC leader Randeep Surjewala and KPCC President BK Hariprasad, the party has established a dedicated committee to review voter lists and coordinate with local progressive groups to ensure accuracy.

From June 23 to June 30, the party will host large-scale gatherings in cities including Mangaluru, Hubballi, Mysuru, and Bengaluru. High-profile figures, including Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, are scheduled to attend these events. By mobilizing its base and assigning senior observers to Booth Level Officers, the Congress intends to maintain the sanctity of the rolls and challenge any irregularities during the intensive revision period.
