The AIMIM president clarified that while the goal is to block the BJP from securing another term, his party will not settle for a secondary status within an opposition bloc. Rejecting a subordinate role, Owaisi insisted that any formal partnership must grant his organization a seat at the table with genuine, equitable representation.
This assertive posture comes as the party begins to flesh out its electoral roadmap, including the recent nomination of a candidate for the Matera Assembly constituency. By moving early, AIMIM intends to demonstrate its independence and readiness to contest the polls, signaling to potential allies that its participation is contingent on dignified terms.
