According to Piyush Srivastava, Additional Secretary for Europe West at the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit reflects the consistent momentum generated by Macron’s own trip to India earlier this year.
A central focus of the Nice leg is the inauguration of Bharat Innovates, an exhibition designed to project India’s burgeoning technological landscape onto a global stage. The trip then shifts to Paris, where Modi is scheduled to address the VivaTech Summit. Beyond the formal diplomatic agenda, the Prime Minister will meet with members of the Indian diaspora, concluding a mission intended to solidify long-term economic and strategic partnerships between the two nations.
