BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain interpreted the string of departures as a sign of deep-seated disillusionment, suggesting that party members are increasingly viewing the TMC platform as untenable. According to Hussain, those exiting are simply the prudent members of a crumbling internal structure. While analysts speculate these resignations signal a broader realignment toward the BJP, Baraik himself remains noncommittal about his next political move.
Baraik emphasized that his departure was not driven by personal friction with TMC chief Mamata Banerjee. Instead, he pointed toward the prevailing public sentiment across West Bengal as a primary factor in his decision. With the party leadership facing a rapid succession of losses, the resignation leaves a notable void in the TMC's parliamentary presence and highlights the growing challenge of maintaining unity within its ranks.
