Princess Maha brings a background in medicine and academic administration to the role, having previously served as vice president of External Relations and Advancement at Alfaisal University. Her public profile includes representing Saudi interests on the global stage at the G20 and the Eurasian Women’s Forum. She steps into the position as the institute continues its mandate to attract foreign capital, an effort closely tied to the Saudi Public Investment Fund established in 2019.
Richard Attias, who previously led the organization as CEO, will remain involved as chairman of the executive committee. This leadership shift occurs during a busy event cycle, marking a new chapter for the institute as it expands its international footprint beyond its annual summit in Riyadh.
