Congress Alleges Political Sabotage in Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sabha Race

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has labeled the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination a calculated assault on democracy, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of orchestrating a conspiracy to silence opposition voices ahead of the upcoming June 18 biennial elections in Madhya Pradesh.

Natarajan, the rejected candidate, framed the incident as a broader struggle against the erosion of democratic principles, questioning whether the nation is sliding toward a one-party dictatorship. She accused the ruling party of historical subversion in the state, suggesting that the nomination process was manipulated to exclude her candidacy.

State Congress President Jitu Patwari echoed these sentiments, directing his criticism at the election officer. He characterized the rejection as an act of sheer political malice, alleging that the official acted in alignment with the BJP’s agenda. The party has vowed to challenge the decision with all available legal and political force before the scheduled vote.
