Congress and TMC Counter BJP Over Alleged Political Poaching

Tensions flared on Monday as Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav of prioritizing election interference over official conservation duties. The critique follows a series of allegations from Trinamool Congress figures, who claim the BJP is actively destabilizing their ranks through coercion and the weaponization of central agencies.

Congress and TMC Counter BJP Over Alleged Political Poaching

Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad dismissed reports of internal fracturing, specifically targeting claims surrounding Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as unfounded. According to Azad, the BJP is manufacturing narratives of dissent to exploit minor friction within the TMC. He contends that the opposition party is deploying central investigative bodies to intimidate members and manufacture a crisis of leadership where none exists.

Jairam Ramesh framed the Environment Minister’s recent activities as a direct abandonment of his ministerial portfolio, suggesting the BJP has shifted its focus entirely toward regional electoral engineering. Despite these accusations of poaching and systemic pressure, TMC leadership maintains that their core structure remains intact and resistant to external manipulation.
