The Civil Contract Party secured a decisive 49.81% of the vote, significantly outpacing the Strong Armenia alliance, which trailed at 23.29% according to the Central Election Commission. This result serves as a critical test for Pashinyan’s administration, which is currently pivoting toward closer European Union cooperation and attempting to recalibrate Armenia’s long-standing reliance on Russian influence.
While the electoral outcome provides a platform for policy continuity, the domestic landscape remains complex. Armenia’s Investigative Committee is currently reviewing reports of potential voting irregularities, with multiple cases under active scrutiny. Despite these internal administrative hurdles, India’s leadership has signaled a clear intent to strengthen bilateral cooperation, viewing the election as a stabilization of Pashinyan’s vision for the country's future.
