It utilizes integrated ventilation tubes to regulate body temperature, a necessity for the lunar surface missions scheduled for the coming years. This project follows the brand's 2024 debut in aerospace engineering, signaling a deeper commitment to the Artemis 3 and Artemis 4 programs slated for 2027 and 2028.
Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada’s chief marketing officer, framed the collaboration as a demonstration of the company’s technical versatility beyond high fashion. While luxury brands frequently look to the cosmos for visual inspiration, NYU marketing professor Thomai Serdari notes that this partnership represents a strategic pivot. By embedding itself in the supply chain for space tourism and exploration, Prada is positioning its brand identity alongside the avant-garde engineering pioneered by firms like SpaceX and Blue Origin.
