Addressing local stakeholders in Tumakuru, Parameshwara dismissed internal friction regarding the potential appointment, stating there is no impediment to granting Khan a berth. He pointed to the legislator's previous track record as evidence of his administrative readiness. The push comes as the Congress leadership in Delhi weighs further adjustments to the ministry following the initial induction of 13 members earlier this June.

The current cabinet, led by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, faces the ongoing task of balancing regional and community interests.
