INDIA Bloc Leaders Forge United Front Against Modi Administration

Gathered at Delhi’s Constitution Club, leaders of the INDIA bloc mobilized against the federal government, targeting the current trajectory of economic policy and electoral integrity. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge spearheaded the critique, warning that the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls threatens fundamental voting rights across the nation.

The alliance focused its agenda on systemic grievances, specifically addressing persistent inflation and widespread examination irregularities. Senior leader Jairam Ramesh reinforced the coalition's commitment to parliamentary obstructionism, aiming to block contentious legislation introduced by the ruling party. This strategy of unified resistance serves as the bedrock for their broader political maneuvering.

Prominent figures, including Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee, solidified this consensus while SP chief Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the necessity of protecting democratic institutions. Although BJP leader Brajesh Pathak dismissed the bloc’s political leverage, the coalition is already pivoting toward the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. By consolidating their stance on foreign policy and social welfare, these opposition leaders intend to transform their parliamentary cooperation into a sustained electoral challenge.
