Former Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath has publicly rebuked Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, calling his recent comments regarding Telangana inflammatory. The exchange marks a deepening rift between the two leaders, highlighting the fragility of regional relations more than a decade after the state's bifurcation.

Rajendranath, a key figure in the YSR Congress Party, insisted that political discourse must rely on verifiable facts rather than emotional provocation. He warned that stirring regional sentiment serves only to deepen divisions, urging his counterpart to adopt a more measured approach when addressing sensitive cross-border issues.

The friction stems from Kalyan’s recent accusations directed at Telangana politicians, who allegedly questioned his right to enter Hyderabad. Kalyan has repeatedly criticized the 2014 bifurcation process as a disrespectful division of the region, advocating for a new era of mutual respect. While he maintains that his goal is to protect the aspirations of citizens in both states, his critics argue that such rhetoric threatens the stability of the relationship between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
