The firm, a subsidiary of the Singapore-based BIT Group, emerged from the asset management business of Crypto Finance. While the Swiss market has previously relied on exchange-traded products, Oggenfuss emphasizes that the new ETF offers a distinct advantage: a fund structure that eliminates the issuer risk inherent in debt-based ETPs. The product, supported by Amina Bank as custodian and PvB Pernet von Ballmoos as administrator, is expected to begin trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange by mid-November.
Oggenfuss aims to reach one billion francs in assets under management within six to nine months of launch. Despite the volatility of the crypto market, he maintains that institutional interest is growing as firms seek to modernize their portfolios. The CEO views the approval from Finma not merely as a business win, but as a commitment to the fiduciary standards he championed during his tenure at JP Morgan. With upcoming roadshows in Geneva and Zurich, the company intends to focus on educating conservative investors, ensuring the product reaches a client base that prioritizes regulatory robustness and transparent, Swiss-made infrastructure.
