Adityanath described India's democratic structure as a colossal banyan tree, rooted in public trust and resilient against manufactured instability. Writing on X, he accused agitators of attempting to weaponize the youth for narrow political gains, framing the ongoing unrest as a direct affront to the country’s institutional stability. His comments arrive alongside a unified pushback from senior BJP leadership, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah.
At a press conference in Lucknow, Rajnath Singh echoed these sentiments, alleging that the Congress and its allies are actively seeking to dismantle democratic norms. He specifically pointed to the opposition's rhetoric regarding the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR), arguing that such protests are not genuine calls for electoral reform but a pretext for chaos. Both leaders maintained that the youth are being used as pawns in a broader strategy to topple the government, asserting that the public has rejected these tactics and will continue to deny such factions the mandate they seek.
