The initiative, spearheaded by the ILO’s Bureau for Employers' Activities, focuses on the nuts and bolts of institutional efficiency. During three five-day sessions held in September 2026, participants mapped out new strategies for governance, human resources, and member communication. The core objective is to move beyond general representation toward a structured system where every business enquiry has a clear path for resolution and every service is validated by actual user feedback.
For the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, this represents a critical step in its 2026–2028 Strategic Plan. Chamber leaders are now tasked with assigning specific responsibilities to staff and establishing internal procedures that prioritize responsiveness. By testing new service models against real-world member experiences, these institutions aim to transform their operational capacity into a reliable resource for businesses navigating the local market. Success will ultimately be measured by how effectively these updated internal frameworks translate into tangible support for the business community.
