Activist Mohammad Faiz Khan Denounces Calls to Remake India

“India will neither become Bangladesh nor Pakistan,” activist Mohammad Faiz Khan declared Friday, condemning opposition rhetoric that suggests transforming the nation’s social fabric. Speaking as security forces cordoned off Connaught Place to curb a scheduled rally, Khan accused political actors of exploiting minority communities to incite civil unrest.

Khan’s sharp rebuke targeted recent comments attributed to All India Students' Association president Neha Bora, which he characterized as dangerous instigation. He argued that political agendas should be settled through the ballot box rather than through threats of street agitation or communal polarization. By contrasting the current Indian climate with the instability seen in Bangladesh, he emphasized that the protection of religious plurality and national sovereignty remains a non-negotiable priority for citizens.

The activist’s warnings coincided with a heavy police presence in the heart of Delhi. Authorities enforced Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to restrict movement around Connaught Place, where the Cockroach Janata Party had planned a 'Lehra Do Tiranga' demonstration. Public access to Central Park was officially suspended by the New Delhi Municipal Council for two days, citing administrative requirements, while traffic police warned commuters of diversions and potential gridlock throughout the area.
