Singh characterized the current political climate as a calculated effort by the INDIA bloc to undermine democratic frameworks for personal power. He identified the 1975 Emergency, the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and the 1990 stance toward kar sevaks as the party's prior historical transgressions. According to the minister, Rahul Gandhi’s recent rhetoric and the ongoing protests against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision represent a dangerous shift toward the politics of disorder.
The minister dismissed the opposition's stated concerns regarding electoral reforms and the role of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, labeling them as mere pretexts. He warned that using student organizations and youth as "pawns" to trigger regime change threatens national stability. Singh urged the Leader of the Opposition to abandon what he termed "manufactured outrage" and instead respect the electoral mandate, emphasizing that democratic institutions must remain insulated from partisan political agendas.
