Rajnath Singh Accuses Congress of Orchestrating Bangladesh-Style Unrest

Rajnath Singh Accuses Congress of Orchestrating Bangladesh-Style Unrest

The government’s sharp rebuttal follows ongoing demonstrations by opposition parties and student groups against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision process. Singh alleged that the protests are not genuine calls for electoral reform or grievances regarding officials like Gyanesh Kumar. Instead, he characterized the movement as a calculated strategy to turn the nation’s youth into political pawns, drawing direct parallels to recent political upheaval in Bangladesh.

Singh dismissed the opposition’s outrage as political opportunism aimed at undermining constitutional bodies. He specifically challenged Rahul Gandhi to abandon what he termed a policy of disruption and instead engage in self-introspection. According to the Defence Minister, these actions threaten to derail India’s development trajectory by prioritizing the seizure of power over the stability of the nation's democratic framework.
