KTR Accuses Telangana Government of Systemic Corruption

Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao has leveled explosive corruption allegations against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, claiming the administration functions as a vehicle for personal gain. Rao alleges the Chief Minister’s Office mandates 15 percent commissions on projects, effectively funneling state resources into what he terms an 'Anumula Empire.'

Rao’s accusations extend beyond general graft, specifically targeting the management of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited. Addressing a rally in Ramagundam, he alleged a conspiracy to steer the public-sector coal miner toward privatization. According to Rao, the state government owes the company ₹60,000 crore, while 40 lakh metric tonnes of coal have vanished from inventory under the oversight of the Chief Minister’s brother-in-law, Sudhini Srujan Reddy.

The BRS leader further criticized the administration’s performance in the energy sector, noting that the 4,000 MW Damaracherla Thermal Power Plant is currently producing less than 400 MW. Beyond the state-level disputes, Rao challenged the national leadership, questioning Rahul Gandhi’s silence on the matter and demanding to know why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to initiate an investigation into these financial irregularities.
