Mumbai Police ordered the actor, nephew of Aamir Khan, to exit the country by October 28. Authorities invoked Sections 29 and 7 of the Immigration Act, citing his participation in a demonstration at August Kranti Maidan as a violation of his status as a foreign passport holder. Fuke alleged that such protests are part of a broader, funded effort to incite anarchy and defame India, explicitly calling for similar measures against demonstrators arriving from the United States, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Khan, who was briefly detained on Saturday, maintained he attended the gathering as a resident of Mumbai concerned with civil liberties. After posting a photo from a police van with the caption, 'Apparently I’m going for a drive,' he questioned the restrictions placed on freedom of movement. Fuke, however, dismissed these concerns, stating that the state government and police possess the resolve to 'crush' those he deems as working against national interests.
