The BRS working president specifically targeted the administration of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, claiming that reckless tendering processes and financial irregularities have crippled the state-run coal miner. KTR pointed to specific figures, alleging that over ₹6,300 crore was improperly diverted during the 2023-25 period. He further questioned the integrity of recent coal block tenders and machinery procurement, challenging the government to explain why promised profit-sharing payments to workers have been slashed to as low as 12 per cent.
Beyond the alleged graft, KTR warned that the company’s operational stability is under fire. He cited a sharp decline in annual output—from 70 million tonnes to 58 million tonnes—and accused the government of withholding roughly ₹60,000 crore in dues. These delays, he argued, have paralyzed equipment procurement and threatened the livelihoods of the workforce. The BRS leader explicitly threatened to lay siege to the residences of Congress ministers and MLAs if the government continues to ignore these grievances or proceeds with any privatization efforts. The state government has yet to provide a detailed rebuttal to these specific claims regarding fund diversion and production shortfalls.
