BJP National General Secretary Smriti Irani framed the arrivals as a validation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development agenda. Addressing the local atmosphere in Gauriganj, Irani expressed confidence that the party would secure a decisive victory in the upcoming state polls, citing the grassroots influence of the new members. Rakesh Pratap Singh, a three-time legislator, joins alongside Gosaiganj representative Abhay Singh and Kalpi MLA Vinod Chaturvedi, both of whom bring established organizational experience to the party fold.
Beyond the expansion of the local roster, Irani utilized the event to launch a sharp critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. She questioned his reliance on a coalition of 14 opposition parties to challenge the Election Commission, characterizing the move as an attempt to undermine democratic institutions. Irani further alleged that Gandhi’s recent rhetoric marks a departure from standard political rivalry, claiming his current stance represents a broader hostility toward the country's foundational constitutional bodies, including the Supreme Court and Parliament.
