The search and rescue operation, led by the State Disaster Response Force, remains active in the Raghopur Diara area. Vaishali District Magistrate Varsha Singh confirmed that seven survivors were transported to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment and remain in stable condition. While initial reports from the scene suggested higher casualty figures, officials are working to consolidate the recovery data.

National and state leadership have responded to the disaster with financial aid packages. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh for the families of each deceased child, with Rs 50,000 allocated for the injured. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has pledged an additional Rs 4 lakh in compensation per family. President Droupadi Murmu issued a formal statement conveying her condolences to the bereaved families as rescue teams continue to comb the river banks.
