Amit Shah Predicts Fourth Consecutive Electoral Defeat for Congress

Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a stark warning to Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc on Tuesday, forecasting a crushing defeat for the opposition coalition in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Shah asserted that the BJP-led NDA is positioned for another massive majority, dismissing opposition efforts as ineffective political theater.

The Home Minister’s comments followed a high-tea meeting of INDIA bloc leaders at Gandhi’s residence. Shah specifically criticized the Congress for opposing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, accusing the party of using the policy debate as a cover to shield infiltrators. He argued that voters have grown weary of such strategies and will not be swayed by what he characterized as fabricated media events or the mobilization of cadres for staged gatherings.

Beyond electoral forecasts, Shah challenged the Congress to look outside major urban centers and protest sites to understand the true national sentiment. He pointed to states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu as regions where the party has faced long-term rejection. According to the minister, the opposition’s reliance on negative politics fails to resonate with citizens in rural, hilly, or forest-dwelling communities. Instead, he attributed the BJP’s ongoing political success to a deep-seated public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extending his gratitude to voters in states including Tripura, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bengal, and Assam for backing the party’s 'Lotus' symbol despite what he described as a storm of malicious propaganda.
