The confrontation intensified when CJP members Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das, and Ajinkya Shinde breached the police cordon at the site in the early hours of Tuesday. While security forces swiftly detained the group, the party declared the action a victory, signaling a shift in tactics. Dipke asserted that Jantar Mantar serves as a symbol of resistance rather than a mere physical location, warning that restricting access to the capital’s traditional protest ground would only force the movement to spread across the country.
Following the detentions, party leaders turned to social media to broadcast their message of civil disobedience. Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka claimed they had successfully reclaimed the space, using the platform to demand the resignation of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. As the party prepares to announce its next phase of mobilization, the incident underscores the growing friction between the CJP and the administration over the shrinking boundaries of public dissent in Delhi.
