The strategy was finalized during a closed-door meeting at the party headquarters on Monday, attended by key figures including Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj, and senior leaders Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain. According to Rai, the hunger strike serves as a continuation of their ongoing demonstrations, which the party characterizes as peaceful protests held in the Gandhian tradition.
Following the strategy session, an attempt by party members to march toward Jantar Mantar resulted in physical skirmishes with police personnel near Janpath. Authorities detained a significant number of participants, including high-ranking officials and local councillors, before releasing them later that evening. The party maintains that these actions are essential to their broader demand for Kumar’s resignation, signaling a shift toward more disruptive tactics in the coming days.
