Fadnavis dismissed the opposition’s protest as a performative act that ignores established legal procedures. Speaking in Nagpur, he questioned the constitutional validity of marching to the Supreme Court to demand an audience with the Chief Justice, asserting that the judiciary is not a forum for street agitation. The Chief Minister framed the opposition's actions as a continuation of a historical pattern, explicitly referencing Indira Gandhi’s tenure to challenge the current Congress leadership’s commitment to the values established by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Beyond the march, Fadnavis urged the Congress to abandon its focus on EVM integrity and instead address internal leadership failures that have led to repeated electoral losses. He argued that the INDIA bloc’s criticism of the Election Commission, the RBI, and the CAG represents a broader attempt to erode the pillars of Indian democracy. Meanwhile, in the capital, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi led thousands of supporters through Mandi House and Barakhamba Road, causing significant traffic disruption as their legal team petitioned the Supreme Court registry over alleged electoral irregularities.
