Congress MP Imran Masood affirmed the alliance's solidarity, emphasizing that the coalition remains unified behind Rahul Gandhi. The demonstration centers on the Special Intensive Revision process, which opposition figures claim resulted in the systematic deletion of millions of voters. Congress MP Amar Singh went further, alleging that constitutional safeguards are failing and calling for the results of four recent state elections won by the BJP to be declared void. He demanded that only voter registries dating prior to June 25 be recognized as legally valid.
While tensions escalated, with reports of police detaining protesters and using force against youth activists, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha maintained faith in the judiciary. He described the Chief Justice of India as a critical guardian of democratic values during a period of intense institutional scrutiny. Congress leader Sachin Pilot echoed this sentiment, urging the apex court to intervene and hear the alliance’s grievances directly. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Election Commission for failing to rectify double-voting issues in Uttar Pradesh, questioning the efficacy of the costly revision exercise. As the protest continues, a delegation of ten senior leaders has prepared a formal petition for the Supreme Court, signaling that the coalition intends to maintain pressure until their demands for accountability are met.
