Congress MP Rajeev Shukla confirmed the legal strategy, citing trust in the judiciary to address their grievances. Meanwhile, the march took on a defiant tone as senior leaders rejected government claims of public disorder. Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi dismissed accusations of anarchy, labeling the state’s restrictions on protest sites like Jantar Mantar as acts of cowardice and suppression of democratic dissent.
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel framed the mobilization as a sustained campaign to restore accountability, alleging that the current government secured power through the theft of votes. The opposition has already engaged with the Election Commission, the President’s office, and protest sites at Rajghat, citing a lack of response from officials like Gyanesh Kumar as a primary driver for the escalation.
Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mamata Banerjee, Tejaswi Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav joined the procession, which is now focused on securing a judicial intervention. Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav noted that the movement is drawing participants from across the country, marking a significant consolidation of opposition forces seeking to challenge the integrity of the electoral process through the highest court in the land.
