Stalin characterized the administration as a 'Sofa Model' government, criticizing the preemptive detentions as an unprecedented act of political anarchy. He argued that the current leadership has systematically disregarded pre-election promises made to healthcare staff, preferring to stifle grievances rather than engage in direct dialogue. The opposition leader drew parallels between these actions and the recent arrests of youths traveling to Delhi to voice concerns over electoral irregularities.
Demanding the immediate release of the detained workers, Stalin targeted Chief Minister MK Stalin directly, branding him a 'Dummy Chief Minister' and calling for an urgent resolution to the workers' demands. He highlighted a pattern of suppression, noting that farmers, students, and nurses have faced similar barriers when attempting to raise their voices. According to the opposition, the government’s reliance on social media optics is masking a failure to address the legitimate needs of those who serve as the backbone of the state's medical services.
